Meaning of Charme

As the name of my website makes it quite clear, I am passionate about tips and inspirations to become not only a chic lady but also a Woman of Charme. My aim is to motivate all women around me to express their own inner style in order to get an unmistakable dose of charme, with the help of fashion tricks that can make the most of any charming lady, whatever her body type.

“Good – you may think – but what does charme mean?”. This is a good question.

Charme is a French word whose meaning is slightly different from the English word charm.
To be precise, it indicates “an ensemble of beauty, elegance, appeal, allure, and style.”

It’s not just mere beauty (that can easily decrease with years).

The allure and charme of a woman are brought about by a blend of many elements.
They can make a woman look (and feel) attractive, gorgeous, stylish, and chic despite any self-perceived flaws, and even if she thinks she’s carrying around a few pounds more than she would like to.

The secret of charme, in fact, comes from a powerful combination of your physical assets and your personality.
This means that if you decide to listen to your inner voice and inspiration, you’ll surely find all the tools you need to make the most of your strengths, both physical and emotional.

Looking and feeling gorgeous has nothing to do with how long are your legs, how expensive are your garments, how frequently you go to the hairdresser.

It’s a matter of feeling comfortable with yourself.

Remember that even the simplest of jeans can produce stupendous results as long as they’re in character with your femininity.
Conversely, even the most expensive piece of clothing will end up looking disastrous if worn without reflecting your own style.

As we’ve explained in many posts and in our books – also with the help of unmistakable pictures that show the DOs and the DON’Ts – beauty and appeal have nothing to do with the shape of your body.

A fuller-figured woman, accompanied by a character and clothing that play to her strengths, can walk away from the closet looking just as if not more attractive and put together than an excessively skinny one.

You can always get a chic and stylish look (and life), with the help of tricks that help you to camouflage the majority of your so-called imperfections, sometimes even turning them into strengths, with shrewd management of your outfit choices.

Fashion is crazy and capricious, sure, though it’s precisely its extreme variability that allows you to always find what’s most in tune with your mood, style, and body shape.

In this blog (as well as in our books), you’ll find not only technical suggestions, but also the encouragement to look inside yourself to find your style, to feel irresistibly beautiful, forever at ease, and uniquely “you.”

This can require time and a little effort, sure.
But, trust me, your reward will be a totally satisfying outcome.

Always remember that, just as the unforgettable Coco Chanel said, “Beauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.”

And so, if you’re browsing the posts of this blog, this means that you’re already almost there, because deciding to become attractive while remaining always yourself is the first step to truly reaching it.
