New flattering trends from Milan Fashion Week

After the break due to the sanitary emergency, fashion is again on the go with new, appealing styles. During Milan fashion week, which took place a few days ago, we’ve spotted new trends that, besides being very appealing, are definitely flattering as well, thus providing an extra tool to enhance your figure while elongating your silhouette in the most fashionable of ways.

I’m speaking in particular of some emerging brands that were presented on September 27th during the fashion show organized by Andrew Sardelli and Marco Rosselli in the unique setting of the “Liberty Room”, a few steps away from the Duomo. These brands not only create top-quality, Italian-made fashion pieces that are trendy while remaining timeless, but they produce them in a variation of stylish yet flattering patterns, allowing fine-tuning your style (and mood) to what looks best on you.

I personally loved any single detail of the SS 2021 collection presented by Los Sclavo – especially the gorgeous dresses you can see above and below, whose pattern plays a perfect balance between long and short, thus allowing a very proportional outcome that’s incredibly flattering for most figures.

With summer dresses, the length issue is a quite tricky one. A short dress can be helpful to lengthen your legs, but frequently, it’s not exactly classy. A long one is often overwhelming. And the” just-above the knee” option is not the most appropriate choice to make your legs look longer and leaner. Los Sclavo’s dresses, though, bypasse the issue with poise, allowing a faultless, fashionable, and very chic outcome that’s just perfect for most figures as it elongates your leg in a very chic way.

The beach collection by Francesco Coticelli plays a similar role: the stunning see-through piece you see above not only showcases the exceptional quality of the fabric, but it allows an interesting (and very flattering) alternative to hum-drum smooth garments (plus, the textured fabric is an extra tool that offers a bigger choice when it comes to picking out the tonality most suitable for your skin tone).

Absolutely stunning the swimwear by Amor y Odio, and especially the bikini below, whose print allows you to modify your body scale to your advantage. I must admit that I’m not a big fan of the recent trend of using different colors for bikini’s tops and bottoms as, in my opinion, it just gives the impression that your bikini is only a leftover of some tasteless fad, but this lovely two-piece goes straight to the target in an impeccable way, allowing looking slimmer around the buttocks – where the color is darker – while enhancing your breast with a slightly lighter tonality.

And what about the lovely hues of Siberica’s swimwear? This light blue, aside from being a timeless tone that looks good on most figures, allows a nice contrast with all skin tones, which is always very helpful when it comes to looking good while wearing your swimwear.

Last but not least, Carla Quaglia’s magnificent cashmere pieces, with their warm shades and soft textures, not only are incredibly helpful to make the most of your assets, but they also add a trendy yet timeless allure to your outfit. Cashmere is indeed an all-season yarn, perfect for summer evenings as well as for a romantic spring getaway, and this stunning garment allows a perfect balance between chic and informal. Sure, cashmere is a precious material, and some caution can be necessary in order to maintain its soft appearance, but don’t mind – just skip to this post, and you will find how to take care of your cashmere (and of all your knits) making them even softer than before, and ready for the upcoming fall.

Fashion trends come and go, but some styles are timeless no matter the trends – and this is precisely the case of the items we’ve seen in this post. Stock up on these flattering and chic pieces and, instead of only winding up with some trendy-but-not-so-tasty article of the latest fad, you will have garments that always look good on you no matter the trends. What a fashion investment!
